 Well, today I got picked to do the blog.  Thanks Jennifer.  This is the first time I got picked and didn't volunteer to do the blog.   
We started the day with people passing out portfolios so we can pick assignments to show our parents if we are not coming to school for student led conferences.
Now we are taking out our Book Thief notes to finish our cornell notes on the book.
In these sections, Liesel accepts that her brother is gone and hopes that Hans will come home soon.  Hans gets in a car accident and cheats death while Zucker cheats life.  Since Hans broke his leg, he is allowed to come home to Liesel and Rosa.  Rudy is jealous that his father isn't coming home.  He begins to carry a tool box with items that will help him steal in it.  He is not a very good stealer.  At the next air raid, Frau Holtzapfel refuses to go to the shelter and Michael feels bad.  Rudy and Liesel find a burning plane and they leave a teddy bear with the dying pilot.  We see this part in the prologue, too.  Papa then comes home.   
Ms. Nakada is now passing out papers for our last set of summaries.  We have to do part 9, 10, the epilogue and then a summary of the entire book. 
We are also getting a piece of paper to decorate and write our inquiry project questions on so other students can see what we are researching. 
The bell just rang without any warning, so I guess I'm done here.
