Independent Reading Plan- Second Semester
HW: RJ 5.2 The Book Thief p. 205-238
Today we started off by reviewing our reading plan for fall semester and then we began a new page for our spring semester independent reading plan. First we wrote down all of the books that we read the fall semester and Gracie mentioned that she didn't read any books on her list except for The Outsiders. I only read a few of the books on my list and hope that I can finish the rest this semester. Then we wrote down the books we have read so far this semester and books that we want to read this semester. Ms. Nakada created posters and hung them up on the wall for people to write books that they recommended other people should read.
Now we are getting out our Book Thief notes to discuss Part 3, Mein Kampf. In this section, Papa discovers that Liesel stole another book and he decides to trade cigarettes for a copy of the Mein Kampf. After stealing the book, Liesel is paranoid because she knows someone saw her steal the book.
Well the bell just rang and with Sparky not here to give us the one minute warning, I was caught off guard. :) Bye
